We had an incident where a student changed the language in settings to Japanese. Unfortunately, this change is persistent. Other users using this Chromebook also see the last language that was set in settings.
Mrs. Downing also noted that it is quite hard to switch back to English due to all of the menus being displayed in another language. She was forced to use another Chromebook that was set to English and follow the location of menu items.
To prevent this, I have set the default login language for all Chromebooks to English – USA. The setting is found under the device settings.
