Please have the student try the following for the various scenarios:
Internet problems/Schoology and Zoom are dropping:
- 1) Ensure they are connected to the home wifi
- 2) Move closer to the home router/access point
- 3) Check home internet connection/speed speedtest.net
- 4) Disconnect other devices from the wifi to see if speed improves
- 5) Reboot wireless router
Cannot see the student
- 1) Check to see if the camera is on in Zoom
- 2) Try to test the webcam in Zoom
- 3) Check to see if there is a blue light by the webcam of the chromebook (Webcam on = blue light on)
- 4) Make sure no other devices with cameras are plugged in
Cannot hear student
- 1) Check to see if microphone is on in Zoom
- 2) Try a microphone test in Zoom
- 3) Make sure no other devices with microphones are plugged in
