Student username formats are the two digit graduation year, initial of their first name followed by their last name.
A senior named Julia Childs would be 20jchilds
Students have two main accounts
Google – this login is in the form of an email address and includes “gm.” after the @ symbolOur example above gives us 20jchilds@gm.granvilleschools.org
Note: Granville Chromebooks will autofill the last part of the email address. The student should only need to type in their username.
Microsoft – this login can take two forms. The most common is just the username. The second option is their full email address. Our example once again gives us20jchilds or 20jchilds@granvilleschools.org
Logging into Chromebooks – The student will use their username and are technically logging in with their Google account.
Logging into Classlink – The student will use their full email address as referenced under the section above. Example: 20jchilds@granvilleschools.org
Classlink provides easy access to the common tools that teachers commonly use. Once logged into Classlink a student will see app icons for other services and will pass the student’s login information to those apps. Classlink is a single sign on application also known as SSO.
